The VVK 2 monitors the status of the water leak sensors connected to the relay. When the sensor gets wet, the resistance decreases and the alarm relay is activated. Additionally, the sensor circuit is monitored (alarm if R > 330 kΩ).
The VVK 2 is a water leak relay that continuously monitors the resistance of the water leak sensor. The water leak sensor (VVA or VVN) can be placed in the floor of the monitored area, for example.
When the sensor gets wet and its resistance falls below the alarm threshold, the relay is activated and the alarm light illuminates. When the sensor dries out and its resistance exceeds the alarm threshold, the relay is released and the alarm light turns off. Up to ten VVA or VVN sensors can be connected in parallel if required. A sensor malfunction alarm (the alarm light flashes and the relay is activated) is triggered when the sensor resistance becomes too high or the sensor is disconnected.
