FloXact volumetric airflow probes are designed for measuring airflow volume and work in conjunction with airflow transmitters or other airflow output transmitters. They are easily installed in existing ventilation ducts. These probes operate on the Pitot tube principle and measure the total pressure (Ptot) and static pressure (Pstat) components of the airflow.

The probe collects airflow measurements from multiple points using a multi-point average based on the Log-Chebyshev method. The number of measurement points depends on the size and shape of the ventilation duct. The probe's shape enables accurate measurement at air velocities of 1.0 m/s and above. The airflow transmitter can calculate the average volumetric airflow based on the differential pressure. These probes can be easily connected to Produal DPT-Flow airflow transmitters. The recommended model is the DPT-Flow-1000-AZ-D, as the typical pressure range in a ventilation duct is 0–250 Pa. The DPT-Flow-1000-AZ-D has a measurement range of 0–1000 Pa. It is also possible to connect the probe to a differential pressure transmitter. However, for maximum accuracy, use an output that is linear with respect to airflow rather than pressure.
